Cindy M. Coombs lost her battle to cancer on July 26th, 2023 and joined her parents Daniel and Shirley Coombs in Heaven. Cindy was born on October 10, 1956 in Michigan. Growing up in Michigan, she enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, including fishing, snowmobiling, and ice skating. In her early twenties, Cindy moved to California, living in San Francisco for a brief period. She then adventured further into the desert, making Arizona her forever home. In Arizona, she raised her three children, D.J., Danielle, and Deanna, as a hardworking stay at home mother. She always made sure her kids had endless summer fun with swim and dive lessons, drive-in movies, summer camps, and countless hours in the swimming pool and at Big Surf Waterpark.
After her three children finished high school, Cindy re-entered the workforce and retired with Express Scripts in 2021. During her short retirement, Cindy traveled to Missouri and Tennessee to enjoy time with her youngest daughter, Deanna, son-in law and granddaughter. Later, she drove her new SUV across Arizona to California to enjoy a Disneyland vacation with them. While in Arizona, she enjoyed going to dinner with her son, D.J., where they frequently reminisced on old family stories. Together, they took many road trips up north and around the valley. Cindy frequently made similar trips up north with her oldest daughter, Danielle, Danielle’s fiancé, and her four grandchildren to play in the snow and watch deer and other wildlife. When in the valley, they enjoyed feeding the ducks at many local parks, spending time at the swimming pools, sharing holiday meals, and watching Chiefs and Cardinals games.
Cindy was very well known for her giving nature, spoiling her grandchildren, and her dream to drive across the country. She will live on in the hearts and memories of her three children and grandchildren.
I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always.
As long as I’m living,
Our Mother you’ll be.
