Charles Arthur Wersin was born June 19, 1945 and went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Julie Wersin. They met through eHarmony with a courtship of one year before he romantically proposed. They were married April 11, 2015. At his passing they were only married 9 months. Julie said that Charles gave her enough love to last a life time.

He was born and raised in Rockford, IL. After high school he joined the US Navy where he served for 1962 – 1968. He was stationed on the USS Picking during the Viet Nam war. He later went on to graduate college with a Bachelor’s degree. He was a retired financial planner at the time of his passing.

He was a humble, kind, loving, generous man of God who loved the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul. He had a sweet gentle loving Spirit. He also had a subtle witty sense of humor that also made him to be a joy to be around. He was quick to give and help those in need and seized every opportunity to do so.

Julie and Charles attended Chandler First Assembly where they held a “Celebration of Life” service for this beloved, husband, friend, and neighbor. He lived an exemplary Christian life and impacted so many lives with his loving kindness that will ripple and resonate in lvies for years to come.

Good bye for now, sweet Charles
