Carol B. McCallum, 81, Resident of Robson Community, Sun Lakes, AZ passed away surrounded by her family on August 22, 2024.
Born in Riverside, CA on April 28, 1943 to Brooks and Abbie Dickey.
Carol attended Ramona High School in Riverside, CA where she was involved in Chorus and dance. She graduated in 1961.
Carol married Jim right out of high school and were married for over 50 years. They had four children, two boys and two girls. Her joy in life was taking care of her family.
In 1986 she and Jim relocated to Arizona. This is where she would now call “home”. Carol enjoyed many hobbies and crafts including ceramics, beading and painting shirts, collecting Avon and so many other miscellaneous crafts she did with the kids. She loved the outdoors and being in her pool. The thing she loved the most was her family and spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Carol had a huge heart and was loved by so many!
Most recently Carol was a member of the Islands Women’s club in Gilbert, AZ. She looked forward to spending time with her group of friends and meeting weekly for her card games and monthly Bunko, and making plans for other adventures.
Carol is preceded in death by: husband Jim McCallum (71), brother Frank Dickey (54) and son Todd McCallum (51).
She is survived by her sister Diane Stewart (husband Bob), San Diego, CA; brother Eddie Dickey, Marysville, CA; son Troy McCallum (Wife Kerri), Gilbert, AZ; daughters, Tracy Berg, San Tan Valley, AZ, daughter and Tonya Morse, Coolidge, AZ; (10) grandchildren, and (12) great grandchildren. She is going to be missed!!
Services will be held on Saturday September, 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1115 E. Ray Road, Chandler AZ, 85225. Arrangements by Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary.
