Carol Jean Martin

Carol Jean Martin, Age 86, of Chandler Arizona passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024 with her son and daughter in-law by her side. Carol maintained her kindness and compassion until the end. She loved to sing and dance and would sing to everyone she met. She was a devoted mother who loved her children unconditionally. She was anchored throughout her life by her faith. She would tell everyone that she lived with Jesus and her dog Honey. Her gentle soul will be missed!

Carol was born on September 10, 1937, she was the second of 5 children of Gaylord Leo (Tom) Hull (1911 – 1973) and Esther Antje Alwine Janssen (1912 – 2008). Carol was preceded in death by her husband James Melvin Martin, her brothers Donald Dwain Hull and Gordon Ray Hull. She is survived by her son James Melvin Martin Jr (JR) and daughter in-law Renee Lynn Martin of Gilbert Arizona, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, sister Mary Louise Garrelts, brother Richard Hull and wife Renee Hull. Carol will be laid to rest with her husband at the City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that you make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Carol’s name.
