, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18th after a long fought battle with cancer in Sun Lakes, Arizona. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mazza, her son Ray Powers, and their families.
Carmela, a native of Italy, came to the United States at a young age, and eventually became a U.S. citizen. As a young adult, she married John Earnest Powers, and they travelled extensively with their family through military service before retiring in Sun Lakes, Arizona. She loved cruises, puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family.
Visitation services will be held
Friday, March 25th from 1:00-2:00PM PT
at Bueler Chandler Mortuary,
14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225

In remembrance of Carmela’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the American Cancer Society (Donate | American Cancer Society).
