April Neola Swartz

April Neola Swartz, a beloved mother, wife and friend passed away on November 18th, 2023 from pancreatic cancer. She was 59.

April fought a hard battle and did so with poise and perseverance; she is now at peace. Though taken too soon, her indelible mark on the world is most evident in the meaningful relationships she forged. April was universally adored by all she met.

Born April 1st, 1964 in Reno, Nevada – April was adopted by Earl and Neola Younker. April grew up in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii with her sister Jan and brother Rand. April moved to Arizona in high school to attend The Judson School in Paradise Valley where she met lifelong friends, all of whom were by her side until the very end.

She possessed an innate gift for making others feel seen and valued. Her genuine love for humanity shone through in every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

April and her first husband, Robert, had two children together: her son Skylar and daughter Cassidy. She prioritized her children above all else, showering them with unwavering love and ensuring they were afforded every opportunity to experience life from basketball and soccer camps to studying internationally in college.

She met her husband Keith in 2008. They married in 2017. Keith and April enjoyed fishing in the Sea of Cortez in their 28 foot catamaran boat. They’d spend many nights sleeping out on the calm waters in Mexico. They also loved to share their boating adventures with others, having brought dozens of family and friends over the years.

April was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Neola Younker, her brothers Rand and Darren and survived by her sisters, Jan and Larie and her brother in law Richard, her husband Keith, her two children Skylar and Cassidy, her son in law Daniel and her two step children Kiley and Ella.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at 10:00 am at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225 followed by a Celebration of Life at Jersey D’s Bar and Grill, 5945 W. Ray Road #13, Chandler, AZ 85226.
