Amparo V. Arambula

It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Amparo V. Arambula (Ampy), 98 years old of Chandler, Arizona. Ampy passed away peacefully at her home on April 9th, 2025. Ampy was born in Ray, Arizona and moved with her family to Chandler at approximately 8 years of age.

Ampy was courted by Manuel R. Arambula and married on November 25th, 1954, Thanksgiving Day. They were married 51 years. She was a devoted mother to five children and cared for close friends young children. Ampy was the quintessential mother. Devoted to her family and home. Friends and family were always welcomed as she showed her love through feeding everyone as she was an incredible cook. From her children's friends after school, neighbors and out of state family and friends. Ampy took pride in her home by keeping it tidy and clean while raising five children and pets. She loved gardening and yard maintenance even late into her 90's.

Ampy loved caring for her grandchildren for a number of years and others. She loved to visit with long time friends and family, they spent hours talking and reminiscing. She was a generous person with friends and especially family.

Ampy was a life long member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Chandler and a devoted Catholic. She witness the evolving of Saint Mary's church from its original location to current location. At Saint Mary's, weddings, baptisms and funerals have occurred for her family.

Ampy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Manuel, son Mark, and two brothers Salvador and Ernesto Vallejo.

Ampy is survived by her children: David (Gina), Richard (Patti), Diana (Mike), Yvon (Steve); nine grandchildren: Allison, Jason, Blake, Melissa, Nick, Lindsey, Brittany, Brandon, Zak and twelve great grand-children: Jalen, Taren, Brice, Ezio, Aria, Sienna, Julien, Eva, Chloe, Theo, Sloan and Sienna.

Services with be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street, Chandler, AZ 85225

 Burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85204
Reception to be held at 2:30 PM at San Marcos Hotel, One N. San Marcos Place, Chandler, AZ 85225
