Agnes Ann Paitl Kollross Johnson, 84, died May 19, 2017 at her residence in Mesa, Arizona. Agnes was born January 21, 1933 in Menominee, Michigan.
Agnes, a native of Menominee, has resided in Mesa, Arizona for the past 12 years, spending summers in Menominee.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Kollross (1957) and Manfred Johnson (2002); son, Nels Johnson (1967); and stepsons, Gary Johnson (1991), Glenn Johnson (2014).
She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Gary) French, Carol Totten, Don Johnson, Arleen Johnson; and stepchildren Karen Salewsky, Lee Johnson; siblings, John (Joan) Paitl, Rita (David) Daniel; an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her zest for life, her laughter, stories, songs, joke-telling, the pay-it- forward hug and message of “Guess who that one’s from?”, but mostly, she will be remembered for when she would hug us close and whisper in our ear “You’re my favorite!”
Services will be held in Menominee, June 15, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Parish at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery following the service.
