Mary Esther Corrigan

Mary Esther Corrigan of Mesa, Arizona, was called to heaven surrounded by her family on December 06, 2018, in Chandler, Arizona.

Mary Esther, known to many by Estee, was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, to Gladys Amy and Henry McCormick on February 06, 1933. She was the third of four children born to the couple.

Estee grew up in Cross Creek, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Through her younger years she moved to many states including Florida and California, but found her true home in Mesa, Arizona, where she resided for 49 years. She is the mother of three children, has six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She loved the sunshine and truly believed there wasn’t another place more beautiful than Arizona.

Estee found her calling in life early. She had a passion for serving others and loved people. She worked and volunteered for many years at the First Methodist Church in Mesa, Arizona, but she began to truly touch people when she began working at the Bavarian Point Restaurant. Through the 32 years she worked there, people would come to see her and waited for her to help them. They loved her smile, her wit and the way she made everybody feel special. Mary Esther loved all animals, music, she loved to dance and sing with glass of wine or a cold glass of Hefeweizen.

She is preceded by her father and mother and two sisters, Dorothea and Darlene, her son Christopher Bean, and her grandson Samuel Underwood. She is survived by her brother James McCormick, daughters Cheryl Munoz (Carlos Munoz), Jodie Underwood( Todd Underwood), grandchildren Jake Munoz, Anissa Coronado, Jennifer Willis, Emma Underwood and Hanna Underwood as well as her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and an abundance of close family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on December 11, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., Bueler Mortuary and Chapel. A light reception will follow at Bavarian Point Restaurant, 4815 E. Main Street, Mesa, Arizona.
