Marilou Ballard Randall

Our beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma, Marilou Ballard Randall, 73, of Chandler passed away, Jan 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, in Chandler, AZ.

Marilou was born to James Lavan and Maxine Hirschi Ballard, on August 28, 1948, in Hurricane, UT, and was later joined by siblings; Patricia, Jimmy, and Lois. She was raised on a cattle ranch in Clover Valley, Nevada. She was an honor student at Wells High School and excelled in business classes and as a Varsity cheerleader.

Marilou attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, UT, where she met her Prince Charming from BYU, on a blind date, which soon escalated to a “Cracker Jack” proposal.  Clinton H. (Randy) Randall and Marilou were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 12, 1970.

Their family was blessed with 5 beautiful children: Jason Scott Randall, Ashlee (Steven) Durham, Marissa (Sonny) Sayler, Ryan Ballard (Claire) Randall, and Tyler James (Stacy) Randall.

Marilou was an accomplished Administrative Assistant at the Chandler Unified School District for over 20 years. Her Texas Sheet Cake and sugar cookies became legendary and were in great demand at every social gathering.  Her artistic and amazing domestic talents blessed her children’s lives, as well as family, friends, and colleagues.

Life without chocolate would have been a dreary existence for Marilou. She loved her Sees Chocolates and we loved her homemade fudge, caramels, and yummy meals. Her personality was so magnetic that 5 minutes in her presence and you loved her. “Seven days without chocolate makes one weak!”

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joys of her life: Morgan, Mariah, Vanessa, Bailey, Brisa, Brandon, Reagan, Gavin, Randall, Isaiah, Riggs, Brynlee, Everett, Rooney, Rush, Parker, Marley; and great grands Hallie, Avery, Colton, Ledger.

Marilou is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, James Milo Ballard.
