John Rembis

John Rembis

, 72, of Chandler, AZ passed peacefully on January 29, 2018. Born in Jersey City, NJ, John and his family moved to Tempe, AZ in 1980. They moved to Chandler in 1993. John is survived by his wife, Linda, of 49 years, their son, John Christopher, his wife, Angela, and their 3 sons, Paxton, 21, Parker, 18, and Preston, 15, of Kenton, OH and their daughter, Carolyn Harlan, her husband, Mark, and their two children, Savannah, 12, and Austin, 9 of Tampa, FL. John and Linda started their journey together 52 years ago. They met on the crowded boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, in front of the Putt Putt Golf Course in August, 1965. It was love at first sight and they were married three years later. John was a devoted family man who always put everyone’s needs above his own. His infectious smile will remain with us always. He was a generous, loving, and caring person. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He will be sadly missed but will always remain in our hearts. A service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, at noon at Bueler Chandler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225, with a luncheon immediately following at Serrano’s Restaurant, 141 S Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225. All who knew John and would like to celebrate his life are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (John had a soft spot for children), Shiners’ Children’s Hospital, where his grandson benefitted greatly from their care, or Hospice of the Valley, where John received compassionate care his final week. John lived his life with “no regrets” and we hope his friends and family do the same.
