Jean Howell of Chandler since 1959 died at home on Saturday, July 30

at age 85. She was married to Al Howell and celebrated 62 years of marriage before his death in 2010. Jean and Al were lifelong supporters of the Chandler School System where Jean drove a bus for disabled students and Al taught and coached at Chandler High. She established the Al Howell Track & Field Scholarship as part of the Chandler Education Foundation in his memory. Jean had many lifelong friends in the Chandler Area who will miss her love of golf, bridge, and watching the Suns. She is survived by her children, Chuck (Frances) and Teri (Steve). Grandma Jean will be missed by her 13 grandchildren, Greg (Liz), Rochelle (Dave), Lisa (Jon), Kyle (Kim), Kory (Andrea), Cole (Mary), and Kevin. The 5 great grandchildren, Helen, Kate, Reis, Ari and James have wonderful memories of the times she spent with them.
