Gia Rashell “Pritchard” Chapman-Lajoie

was born May 13th 1970 in Mesa, AZ to Ron and Claudia Pritchard and went to be with Jesus July 3rd 2018. Gia attended Grace Community Christian School, Rhodes Junior High, Dobson High School and Mesa Community College. During her school years and growing up, she enjoyed swimming, diving, softball, working out and dancing. After leaving school, Gia had a very successful career in the jewelry business. Gia married Baxter Chapman on July 5, 1997. They soon started a large family which became Gia and Baxter’s priority in life. After the death of their first born daughter, Sable , in 2005, Gia and Baxter threw themselves into a foundation they started to honor Sable’s life. This foundation was called Sable’s Wings and eventually evolved into the opening of Sable’s Wings Comfort Room at Banner Desert Hospital. This is a place for parents to spend time grieving the loss of their

child. Sadly in 2015, her beloved Baxter went home to be with Jesus in Glory. Gia was known for being a friend to whomever she met and had an oversized heart to help a friend in need. “Gia Sunshine” was such a perfect nickname for her, as she spread sunshine and joy wherever she went and helped in so many worthwhile causes. Gia’s faith and love for Jesus Christ and spreading his love was a top priority, and itshowed, as she loved telling others about the love of Jesus. Gia is survived by her children Baxter, Bronson, Hudson, Haven, Sablanca, and Cambridge Chapman. Her parents, Ron and Claudia Pritchard, brother, Cole Pritchard (Kimberly) and nephew, Noa Pritchard. Grandma Maxine Whatley, Grandpa L.C. Withers along with exchange student daughter, Emma Madsen of Denmark, and a host of relatives and friends. On February 22, 2017, Gia married Yves Lajoie, so also is survived by husband, Yves, stepson Joshua Lajoie(Maddie), granddaughter, Selah Lajoie and stepdaughter, Vanessa Lajoie. Gia is preceded in death by her unborn children Colby, Madi and Maxi. Great Grandparents, Soren and Emma Madsen, Frank and Matilda Grangnelli, Grandpa Les Whatley, Grandma Eloise Withers and many other beloved family and friends. Although her years on Earth were short, God used Gia in a mighty way to accomplish much.
