was born in Brownsboro, Texas on December 22, 1945 to Amos Maurice and Isadora Gibson (Osborn). Dean’s family moved to Arizona when she was a young child. She grew up in Arizona with her parents and three sisters: Pat, Beverly, and Carol. Dean also had and loved a sister named Brenda that lived in Oklahoma. She attended Sunnyslope High School and met her husband, Raymond Duke in 1958. They were married in 1963. She was blessed with their son, Raymond Duke Jr. in 1964. She worked at Motorola for several years. She also loved to play softball. Her husband coached the team she played for. They competed in a national tournament in New York. Dean and Bob Stranford were married in 1967. Even after their marriage ended, they maintained a friendship with care and respect. Dean and Brad Hall were married in Las Vegas on May 10, 1975. Throughout the years, Dean has had various business ventures. She made soaps and sold them at farmer’s markets. She also ran her popular hot dog stand, Dean’s Dog House with her sister Carol. Dean was very close with all of her sisters, especially Carol. They were best friends and companions until Carol lost her battle with cancer in 2010. Dean is survived by her son Raymond, grandchildren Ray, Jennifer (Luigi), & Amber (Darrin), great-grandchildren Randy, Jordan, Rocco, Serafina, Abigail, & Daphne, and sister Beverly. A funeral service for Dean will be held on Friday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225.
