William was born November 3, 2009, at Banner Good Sam in Phoenix, weighing 2 lbs. & 14 oz. William is survived by his mother Crystal Rae Hill Leon, father Richard Daniel Leon, & sister Isabell Maxine Leon of Tempe, AZ; maternal grandmother Jackie Morris Drysdale (Tom), paternal grandmother & grandfather Phyllis Potts Leon and Richard A. Leon, great-grandfather Stuart Jones of Payson, uncles Lavell W. Hill (Jessie), Skeeter Hill, Ranger Hill, aunt Elena Seefeldt (Josh), uncle Danny Leon (Marlee), and cousins Cora & Nolan Hill; Lydia, Andrew and Lily Seefeldt.   William is 6th generation Payson/Gila County Pioneer through his maternal great-grandmother Sara Holder Jones.  William is preceded in death by his grandfather Ray Hill, great-grandmother Sara Holder Jones, great-grandfather Tom Morris, great-grandmother Cora Maxine Hill, great-grandfather Bob Wayne Hill, great-grandmother Juanita Chavez, great-grandfather Marvin Lee Potts, great-grandmother Delfina Leon and great-grandfather George S. Leon.

William came into this world fighting and fought the good fight for 9 ½ years. He was a little guy but a tough guy, hence the nick name Wild Man Willie. He was the air his mommy, daddy, and sister breathed. William was known to so many wonderful people. You couldn’t go anywhere that someone didn’t stop and say, “oh hey is that William?”. He was so well known and loved by the medical world and special needs arena. His mommy and daddy vowed that William would go and do everything they did like travel on the airplane to Houston along with all the special equipment he required on an hourly basis; he also went to Denver, New Mexico, California, and Nevada, not to mention everywhere he went along locally.

William leaves behind a true legacy of hope and determination.  He will be in our hearts forever.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the following in William’s memory:

Sweet sweet boy, you will forever be missed. Not one bead will be seen without the thought of you showing those mad spinning bead skills!
