Wayne Aldon Enloe Whitney
of Chandler passed into eternal rest July 25, 2018. Wayne died in his sleep peacefully at the home of his parents, Jean and Mark MacVittie. He was born May 13, 1981, a third generation Arizona native. Wayne lived in South Dakota between the years of 2009 and 2018. A hard worker, Wayne found a place in the world as a restaurant cook working for the Best Western Ramkota and Pour House in Sioux Falls, and recently in Chandler at Dos Gringos and Bourbon Jack’s. He made many friends in both states. He leaves behind his parents, Jean and Mark MacVittie, Greg and Cindy Whitney, two sons Jarek Whitney and Christian Bly, two brothers Mark MacVittie, Jr. and Michael Whitney, his last-living grandparent Grant, a loving girlfriend Eura Mason and many uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends.
Services for Wayne will be held August 18, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located at 733 W. Erie St. Chandler, AZ, 85225. Services will begin at 10:00AM with committal in the memorial garden directly after the service at the same address. We invite all who attend to gather after the service at Dos Gringos to share memories and raise a glass to Wayne. Dos Gringos is located at 1361 N. Alma School Rd. Chandler, AZ 85225.
