, 64, of Chandler, Arizona passed away on August 1, 2019 after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer. Steve was born in Lafayette, Indiana and during his lifetime lived in many different places including Indiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Alabama, Maryland, Virginia, California, Texas and Arizona. His heart always remained in Maryland where he spent most of his years growing up and enjoyed many weekend excursions with friends to Ocean City, Maryland. He graduated with the Class of 1972 at Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Maryland and maintained many close friendships with classmates over the years.
Steve took great pride in his lawn and his landscaping company. The running joke his mother and sister have is that they could never get Steve to mow the lawn at home when he was growing up, and what line of work does he go into but landscaping!
Steve loved his pets which included fish, birds and dogs. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile.
He is survived by his wife Jana and son Timothy both of Chandler, Arizona, his mother Gloria Thrash of Maryland, sister Wanda Brodsky (Mark) of Maryland and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley.
