Stacy Hana Nakamura

Stacy Hana Nakamura departed this life on May 11, 2019 after a courageous battle against multiple cancers.  Stacy was a native Phoenician born August 26, 1970.  She graduated from Tempe High School and Arizona State University.  She was proud of the support she gave her grandma and family working on their historic flower farm, Nakamura Flower Gardens on Baseline Rd.  She was employed by Intel the last 23 years and we would like to thank them for their support during her illness.

An avid outdoors woman, she loved tennis, golf, skiing, competitive paddling, hiking, and anything that would get her outside.  Stacy always had a special bond with her furry friends, animals of all kinds.  She was a champion of the underdog and under privileged, always offering generosity, kindness, and compassion.  She was a wonderful friend who was concerned about others while quietly fighting her own battle with dignity, grace, determination and hope.

She is survived by her mother, Gloria Nakamura, her father, Osam Nakamura, her sister, Stephanie Nakamura, and her puppy daughter, Skye.  She is also survived by many close friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.  She will be deeply missed.

We knew Stacy because she was a friend of our daughter Carrie Ann. We hope the afterlife treats her well.

Though my time with Stacy was only for a few years her kindness and big heart was enough to last a lifetime. She trusted me with her Skye and I took that as a high honor and a great privilege. I will always carry Stacy in my heart and miss her smile often.
