, 49, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 in Phoenix. Shannon was born June 7, 1968 in San Diego, California. He graduated from Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California in 1986. He proudly served in the U. S. Army from 1988 to 1993. He was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Shannon graduated from Ball State University with degrees in Architecture and Telecommunications in 2003. Between his years in the military and his employment, he took the opportunity to travel extensively and saw much of the world. Shannon is survived by his loving parents Richard and Alana Cole of Phoenix, daughter Ashley Dawn (Jason Harris) and grandchildren Indie Heartlynn and Cash Hazen of Murrietta, California, his sister Trish (Dave) VanSickle and nieces and nephews London, Cole, Logan, Kyle and Callie, and grandmother Mary Jane Talmage of Vista, CA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Shannon will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William Rice and paternal grandparents Bruce and Madelyn Cole.
Services with military honors for Shannon will be held at Compass Christian Church, 1825 S Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association, Phoenix Chapter. The family would like to thank Bueler’s Chandler Mortuary for their services and compassion at this difficult time.
