, age 62, died unexpectedly on June 9, 2018, at his home in Chandler, Arizona. Rob is survived by his Wife, Elizabeth, of 28 years; his children Danielle, Brennen, Amanda, and Hannah; his Mother, Cloradell; and his grandchildren. He joins his father, Robert Joseph in Heaven.
Rob was born on March 14, 1956 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, to parents Robert and Cloradell Watts. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Emphasis in Political Science and History. After graduating, Rob moved to Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, AZ to earn his pilot’s wings and served as a pilot instructor for the U.S. Air Force. As an instructor in Flight School, Rob taught future pilots in the T37s and T38s.
After his service, he worked for Garrett/Allied Signal as an Engineer. His boss saw his great potential and advised he move to a managerial position in sales. After discovering his passion for selling within the Aerospace Industry, Rob joined the Dukes team in sales. During Dukes, he started his first company – Aerospace Sales. After leaving Dukes, Rob built three more businesses: PMA Sales, Aerospace Sealants, and Falcon Aero Manufacturing. Rob considered the people he worked with to be family and was honored to work with them every day.
Rob was a phenomenal family man, an amazing husband, and an incredibly loving father. He was respected and loved by all that met him. He was an inspirational leader, teacher, and friend. He will be truly missed. God only created one Rob Watts and he lived his life to the fullest. He always saw the best in both people and the beautiful world around him. We will carry on in his memory and continue to make him proud.
A funeral is scheduled for Friday June 15, 2018 at Bueler Chandler Mortuary. The public viewing is at 8am, followed by the service at 9am. Following the service, we will proceed to the Valley of the Sun Cemetery and then to an open house. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rob’s life.
