Richard Keith Smith

Richard Keith Smith, loving father, grandfather, nephew, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 8th, 2019.

Rick was born December 30th, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the youngest of three children born to Joyce Miller and Jim Smith. He grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona where he later started his family and raised his four daughters. Rick had an entrepreneur spirit and began his own business and afterward to help his mother run her business.

Rick will always be remembered as a kind hearted spirit who would help anyone in need.  Even though the depression ultimately took his life, we know he is now at rest without any pain.

Services will be held on Friday, August 2nd at 1:00pm at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rick to Project Semi Colon to help raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.

Don’t Forget that somewhere

between hello and goodbye,

There was love

So much love

I am so saddened by the passing of my beautiful cousin Rick. I looked up to him when I was a kid. We had many wonderful times together growing up, mostly at Grammie’s house on 7 th Street. To his daughters and sister, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of grief and sadness.

Heather, Taylor, Ashley, Whitney & Jimi, I was absolutely stunned when Heather messaged me. I pray that you girls have faith to bring you through this & make your bond with each other stronger than ever before. It is not a easy thing to go through, there has been so much this year with your grandma Joyce/mom & aunt debbie/sister. I have so many fond memories, us as children staying at aunt Joyce’s house being wild & crazy. Then at Grammies being angel kids because that was the only way she would have it. Then reuniting in the last 2o years has been wonderful.
Lord I ask you help these ladies through this time with strength and love by wrapping Your loving arms around them. Hold on to them to keep their family bond, To keep them close to one another, to feel the strength of your support. Let them be aware that You are The Almighty to help them carry on in their lives. To spread Your love and faith in their everyday life.
I ask these things in your name. In Jesus Christ name, Amen
