Monte Alan Nevitt, Jr.

Monte Alan Nevitt, Jr.

passed away at the age of 38 on August 31, 2019, at Banner Desert Hospital from cardiac arrest.  Alan was born in Mesa on April 29, 1981. He went to school in Prescott and Queen Creek, graduating from QCHS in 2000, after serving as student body president and participating in sports, scouts, and 4H. He served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2000 to 2002 in Mendoza, Argentina. Alan received an associate’s degree in Business from Chandler Gilbert.

Alan loved sports of every kind – particularly football, soccer,  cycling, mountain biking, hiking, wakeboarding,  wake surfing, and lifting. He was a fierce competitor on the field, but he was a kind and protective brother at home. He was a generous and tender-hearted brother, son, and grandson. Alan was a loyal friend, and a playful uncle to his beloved niece and nephews.  He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his quiet acts of service, and for his fun-loving bigger than life personality.

He is preceded in death by his beloved and missed grandparents Walter Curtis (Curt) Dana and Joyce (Reber) Nevitt.  He is survived by grandparents, Edward O. Nevitt and Lola (Gylling) Dana; his parents, Monte Alan (Sr) and Julie (Dana) Nevitt; his siblings Rachelle Rauma (Michael Rauma), Nicole Rasmussen (Erik Rasmussen), Jensen Nevitt (Meagan Hoopes), and Lyndee Sartors (Jacob Sartors); his niece and nephews, Cody Rauma, Tate Rasmussen, Bo Rasmussen, Joshua Rauma, Stetson Nevitt, and Guy Rasmussen; and many loving extended family members.

A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, on Thursday, September 5th, 2019 at 21915 E. Cloud Road, Queen Creek AZ, 85142. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 6th, 2019 at  the same location. Interment will follow at the Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms.
