passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 60 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Michael is survived by his sisters Angie Lee, Eva Lee, Beverly Lee, Neva Yazzie, his sons Ray Lee, Jaymus Lee, Nephi Lee, his granddaughter Skylar Lee, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Ray & Bessie Lee, and brothers Pete Lee & James Lee.
Michael was born at home on October 28th, 1960 in Teec Nos Pos, AZ on the Navajo Reservation. He graduated from Kirtland High School in 1979 and later earned his Associate’s Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Technology from San Juan College in 2012. After completing high school, Michael began working for Arizona Public Service and continued to do so up until his passing.
Michael loved the game of basketball and continued to play it throughout his life. He loved country music, dancing, concerts, and hanging out with friends. He always made sure his family was taken care of and shared his love through hard work, good times, and great food. He is loved by all and will be missed greatly.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 at the Galveston Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building on 1950 W. Galveston St, Chandler, AZ 85224. Seating is limited and we request that masks be worn and social distancing maintained due to COVID-19. For those who would like to attend virtually, the service will be live-streamed via
