Merle M. Wygal

Merle Milton Wygal was 85 years old when he passed away on December 26

th

2015 at his home in Chandler, Arizona.

He was born to Merle Milton Wygal Sr. and Nina Sherman. He grew up in Springerville, Arizona. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp. at the age of 16 years old and served honorably for 25 years as a Medic. Merle retired as a Chief Master Sargent in 1971.

After his retirement from the Unite States Air Force he worked in the medical field and started and ran two successful businesses. He was a pilot and loved horses.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly A. Wygal they were married 40 years. One son, David Wygal of Toms River, New Jersey.  Five daughters, Teresa Donnelly of Tucson, Arizona, Maureen Brunke (Herman) of Tucson, Arizona, Lauren Risley (Bear-David) of Tucson, Arizona, Dianne Wygal-Springer (John) of Tucson, Arizona and Kimberly O’Neil (James) of Phoenix, Arizona. He has twelve Grandchildren and one Great grandchild.

Merle is also survived by one half brother Robin Williams of Young, Arizona and three half sisters, Betty Williams of Phoenix, Arizona Barbara Spieth of Phoenix, Arizona and Diane Poteet of Showlow, Arizona.

Merle was a gentle, caring man and will be missed by all who came in contact with him. His family will greatly miss him.
