Pertuit-Raudebaugh, Mary C. (Mollie)

was born on November 1, 1922 in Flagstaff,  Arizona.  She passed away on October 21, 2016 in Chandler, Arizona.  Mollie was a direct descendant of three of Flagstaff’s earliest settlers; the Black, the Francis, and the Beal families.   She was born at 418 W. Aspen Street to Marvine Francis Raudebaugh and William “Wid” B. Raudebaugh.  She was pre-deceased by her three brothers:  John Franklin, William F. and James David.  Mollie attended Flagstaff public schools and Arizona State College (NAU) for two years before marrying Paul Pertuit Jr. in October 1942.  She and Paul lived in Flagstaff until Paul retired in 1984 and they moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona.  They were happily married for nearly 70 years.  Mollie was an active member of the Church of Epiphany and DAR in Flagstaff.  She served her community through the Flagstaff Hospital Auxiliary, PEO Sisterhood, and the Assistance League of Flagstaff.  Mollie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and an excellent homemaker.  She enjoyed baking and playing cards, especially Bridge, Duplicate, and Pan.  Mollie is survived by her children:  Paul Pertuit III and wife Rhoda Jane, Patricia Cummins and husband David, Peggy Morehouse and husband John,  Perry Pertuit and wife Aida, four grandchildren:  John, Shannon, Ann, and Jenny and seven great grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held on October 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, 901 W. Erie St., Chandler, AZ 85225.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Northern Arizona Pioneer’s Historical Society at 2340 N. Fort Valley Road, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
