Kimberly Lynnette Thune Guenther
passed away on July 16, 2021. Kim was born in Crosby, North Dakota on November 25, 1970, to Dennis and Kathleen Thune. The family moved to Chandler, Arizona in 1972 from California. Once Kim graduated from Gilbert High School she attended ASU and received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at ASU. Kim was happily married to Karl Guenther who was her partner in life for 30 years. She was a Registered Dietitian who provided amazing support and care that touched so many lives over the years, she had this incredible kindness and had a beautiful soul.
Kim is survived by her husband, her father Dennis Thune, sister Danielle Caspersen along with her nieces Serena and Yanah, and brother Travis Thune.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Kim had a passion for the outdoors, hiking, paddle boarding, playing board games, loved taking her nieces to concerts and on road trips to see family and friends, she also loved caring for the two dogs that she rescued.
