John Elliott

John Elliott, 51, of Gilbert, Arizona, peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on April 17, 2019. John was born June 13, 1967, in Mesa, Arizona, to loving parents, Larry and Lorita Elliott. John is the oldest of the Elliott siblings, survived by James (Melissa) and Sherry (Rhett).

Growing up, John was passionate about sporty cars and excelled in auto mechanics. He enjoyed going to concerts, and played for the Dobson High School football team.

Serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, John loved ministering to the people of Toronto, Canada. He served from 1986-1988.

On April 22, 1994, John married the love of his life, Lynda McCook. He served as a Supply Chain Specialist for the United States Army, which took their young family to Georgia and Germany. John was deployed in Kosovo. John and Lynda raised four wonderful sons, J.J., Nathan, Bradley, and Robbie. He loved the outdoors, and they all enjoyed camping and fishing. John led the family in supporting all Arizona sports, especially the Arizona State Sun Devils.

John received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. He studied Supply Chain Management and was employed by Intel, where he excelled in that field.

John’s love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident in the way he lived his life. He was gentle and kind to everyone he met.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 26th, from 10:00-11:45 at 2958 S. Recker Rd in Gilbert. Funeral services will be at noon at the same location.   Bueler Mortuary is handling the funeral arrangements.
