Jim and his brothers were in Boy Scouts, and loved it. They formed friendships with many of their fellow scouts that continue until now.

Jim was proud of his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oregon

He continued his higher education and earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from Oregon Health Sciences University.

He worked as a Dentist in the Valley from 1984 until his retirement in 2015.

At that time he discovered his love of motorcycling.

He loved his Harley Road King, and always had plans for his next customization or his next ride. He was planning to go to the Annual Rally in Sturgis again this year.

Jim was a good person, great friend and an even better husband.

He had friends everywhere he lived, went to school, or worked. Jim was ready at all times with a funny joke or a fun story. And, boy, could Jim Burns tell stories. He will be missed everyday by hundreds of us who Love him.

I am so sorry for your loss Deb. Jim and I had a great time talking with one another in the lunch room at Southwest Dental Group. He was a good friend and great co-worker.

So saddened to hear about this news. Dr. Burns was one of my absolute favorite Doctors to work for. So calm, friendly, and easy going. I will never forget our memories and I will always cherish my Oregon Ducks shirt he gifted me from one of his many trips.
