Isis Elizabeth Ebright

Isis Elizabeth Ebright, age 13 of Maricopa, AZ, passed away at home on March 23, 2020. Isis was born March 30, 2006 in Chandler, AZ.

Isis loves her friends and family with fierce loyalty. She always looks out for others and never wants anyone to feel left out, alone or scared.

Isis is brave and strong (buts hates being called that). She fought Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia for three and a half years. Throughout her battle she always had a smile and positive attitude. She loved and was loved by so many of her nurses, doctors and staff at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Our family is deeply thankful to each and every one at PCH that has been a part of our journey.

Isis lives to dance. Dance is her happy place. No matter what else is going on in life or how hard dance practice was she would come out renewed and energized.

Our Icee Pop is smart, funny, and beautiful. She has always had her own sense of style, grace and wit. Her radiance attracted people to her and she has a way of making everyone feel loved and special.

Isis loves her brother Logan and he loves her. They loved being together and are the best of friends. They always look out for each other. They could spend hours talking and telling each other about their day, friends, hopes and dreams. They are the rock of each other’s foundations.

Isis has an unwavering belief and faith in her Heavenly Father. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she knows that families are together forever and we would all be reunited again. Isis was never worried or sad about leaving this mortal life. She only worried about those she would leave behind and the sadness that they would feel.

We miss her silly faces, funny puns, and snuggles so much. We miss the pure light and goodness that radiates from her smile. We cannot wait for the day we will be reunited as a forever family and get the biggest and best hug. We love you big too much forever and ever, and a little bit!

Isis is survived by;

Parents: Chris and Roxanne (Wiltbank) Ebright

Brother: Logan Ebright

Grandparents: Charlie Ebright, Tom and Bonnie (Pflieger) Spicer

Aunts and Uncles: Eric and Casey (Lea) Ebright, Zac and Megan (Lightfoot) Fain, Ty and Shannon (Connealy) Wiltbank

Cousins: Christian, Michael, Cody, and Max Fain and Mason Ebright

As well as many more people including extend family, teachers, leaders and cherished friends that she loved with all her heart.

Isis was preceded in death by;

Grand Parents: Sam (Gray) Ebright and George ‘Butch’ and Mary Beth (Sheering) Wiltbank

Uncle: Matthew Lightfoot

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Isis’s life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, Isis requested people give donations of blood, time or resources to the American Red Cross.  She did not want other kids like her to worry about life saving blood products. The Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation also has a special place in Isis’s heart for all that they do for childhood illness and supporting families.

    We are so sorry for your loss, Chris. While we did not have the pleasure of knowing Isis, we can see her beauty, her heart and how much she was loved, in your kind words. We know she is dancing in Heaven. Free. Much love to you and your whole family.

    I love how you express Isis in the present not the past. She is alive and well. Just not here with us.
    These kids who fight so hard to live become adults well before their time. Isis, you are loved far and wide. Hugs to Mom, Dad and Logan.

    We will pray hard for Isis and all those left behind. We believe she is with our creator dancing in no pain.

    We will forever smile when we think of Isis. Her fun little personality that lit up a room, the good friend she was to her classmates, her genuine concern of others before herself, and how loved she was by anyone who knew her will be how we always remener her! We were all so lucky to know her. We love you Isis!!

    Isis will live on in my heart and soul as the sweet child I loved to have run into my arms during or after running club practice. Her smile and nose kisses were heavenly. I pray for you all as your trek through this undeniably difficult time during this pandemic separated from those who want to cover you in the same squeezes Icee would give out. I hope you all know how often you are in our thoughts and prayers. I pray for your strength to endure something Herculean, I pray for your minds to know the love that she has spread across this globe, and I pray for your hearts to hold to love that is coming your way.

    I was blessed and had Isis in Music for a very short period of time. She lit up the room with her smile and love for everything. No teacher can ever forget her.

    I was blessed to be able to have her In my life for the past eight years of my life. She was always the kindest and most amazing person I know. She was so easy to talk to and shared her love and sympathy in every situation. She will never be forgotten.

    I did not have the pleasure of knowing Isis or her family. I came across this beautiful notice while looking for some genealogical information regarding my grandmother, Elizabeth Ebright, and felt moved to send my condolences. Perhaps Isis is even a distant relative. I offer my prayers and send my sincere condolences.
