Charles Robert McAllister
of Meridian, Idaho (formerly of Casa Grande, Arizona) passed away on Wednesday, May 17
th
of 2017 at the VA of Boise from heart complications. Chuck, as he was referred to by many, was born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 10, 1939 to Robert Blyth McAllister and Dorothy Henrikson Baines. Chuck soon moved to Pasadena, California with his mother and brother (Donald McAllister). After high school Chuck joined the Navy serving as a radioman on a destroyer. Trying to decide his next move in life, Chuck found relationships and his outgoing nature would be keys to his career.
This lead to a nomadic life of sales in golf course irrigation. With courses from Texas to New York and California to Florida with the opening of Disney World in Orlando. He found the love of his life in Patricia Ann McAllister/Delaney and have been married for 47 years. They have five children; Christina Ann McAllister/Rockwell, Debra Lynn McAllister/Miranda, Charles Robert McAllister Jr., Laura Kathleen McAllister/Carver, and Michael David McAllister.
Family has always been important to Chuck and so a decision was made to settle down in Tempe, Arizona and start a business in irrigation supplies.
All-State Irrigation Supply was a prosperous business for 22 years.
Chuck retired with his wife to Prescott, Arizona, to pursue time with grandchildren and his love of golf.
To further enjoy grandkids Maggie Rockwell, Abby Rockwell, Lucy Rockwell, Riley Miranda and Andrew Miranda, Chuck and Pat moved to Casa Grande. Then recently moving to Meridian, Id to spend time with grandchildren Emma Carver, Robert McAllister and Scott McAllister.
Chuck lived a life with no excuses. Honesty and relationships defined him and family surrounded all of it.
His laughter and spirit will be missed by all. His love will live forever.
