, 89, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Morrison, Illinois, passed away on September 5, 2017 at his home in Chandler after several years of ill health. He was born to W. Ross Bealer and Alice Irene Bealer on February 13, 1928 in Sterling, Illinois. He attended Morrison Public Schools, and St. John’s Military Academy , graduating high school from St John’s in 1949. He enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school and served with the Marine Corps Infantry in Korea during the conflict, participating in the fight at the Chosin Reservoir and the amphibious landing at Inchon. After five years, he was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, and after spending a year working in the Morrison area, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, spending an additional seventeen years of active duty as a Hydraulic Systems Mechanic on C-130 type aircraft, serving in Viet Nam. During his military career, besides Korea and Viet Nam, he had overseas duty in Italy, and lived at Military Bases in Washington, D.C. ,the States of Washington, California, Illinois, and Tucson, Arizona, where he retired from the Air Force with the rank of Technical Sergeant. He and his family moved to Chandler, Arizona where they continued to live. He worked for the State of Arizona at the State Penitentiary at Florence, retiring after approximately twenty years. Charles married Marianne Finnicum of Erie, Illinois on June 18, 1955, and they celebrated sixty-two years of marriage. They had two children, Cathy Eileen Bealer, born in 1956, and Robert Ross Bealer, born in 1962. Charles is survived by his wife, Marianne, his son Robert, a sister, Ila Mae De Luca of Upland, California, a sister, Ruth Mitick of Morrison, Illinois, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Cathy, and sister Marjorie Pons of Erie, Illinois.

Cremation Rites are to be accorded, and a private funeral of family and special friends will be held at 5:00 P.M. on September 22. The service will be at the
