Catherine (Mickie) Eileen Pfeffer

, 86, born in Chicago, Ill to Walter & Mary Coyle, passed away Apr 11, 2018. Mickie spent several years working as a secretary for the State of AZ, a legal secretary and court reporter, before retiring from the Civil Service in 1993 at WAFB, when the base closed. After retiring, she spent several years volunteering at Chandler Regional & Mercy Gilbert Hospitals. She is survived by her children, Tom Pfeffer, Joan Schusler (Jeff), Jim Pfeffer (Patti) of Ottawa, Ill., Karen Ross (Raymond), and Patti Guzman (Bobby). She had 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her husband, Marvin H. Pfeffer, one grandson (Christopher), her sister (Patricia Graham), and both parents. Her hobbies included playing cards, reading, crafting, square dancing, cooking, watching Jeopardy and her favorite murder mysteries, and like her husband, she liked to watch her Chicago Bears. Her family would also add that she enjoyed moving – almost 40 times!
